FSA - The Federated States of America

As the title of this post suggests. America's history was somewhat different in this timeline. The American Civil War resulted in victory for the southern states. They then formed the Federated States of America. I really liked the look of their ships, with the paddle wheels and low decks. After I chose them I read online that they are considered to be one of the most powerful fleets to play with, which is always a bonus!

As you can see you get a fair bit for your money! The fleet box gives you a Battleship, 3 Cruisers, 9 Frigates, 2 Bombers, 10 Fighter Bases and Templates and counters!

The FSA's airships are also pretty cool. They have a flying aircraft carrier which consists of 4 airships strapped together and they also get flying robots!

A New Game in Town

Well I took the plunge and decided to splash out on the new Dystopian Wars rulebook and a fleet to go with it.

Dystopian Wars is a Land, Sea and Air war-game set in an alternate universe in the 1870s. A chasm was discovered by an expedition team in Antarctica containing loads of exotic technology.

The Industrial Revolution happened decades earlier than in our timeline meaning that a lot of the technology used is unrecognisable.

More information on Dystopian Wars can be found on Spartan Games' website

Imperial Battlegroup Omega

I've played a few games with the Rogue Traders... and lost them all spectacularly...
So i've decided to make my Rogue Traders part of a larger Imperial Force - Battlegroup Omega. Okay this means I cannot include my Tau allies but in return I get access to Imperial Navy warships and vessels of the Adeptus Astartes, wahoo!

Rogue Trader Cruiser

My Rogue Trader has a lot of contacts, his noble family have managed to obtain a pre heresy Carnage class cruiser. It was found in a starship graveyard and quickly refitted to escort the many freighters the rogue trader has.

Rogue Trader Freighters

Here are some freighters that I painted up to use in my rogue trader fleet, since forgeworld freighters are so expensive I decided to use Firestorm Armada frigates.

Hey

I've started this blog to share my Battlefleet Gothic experiences with the community. Around 8 years ago I purchased the Battlefleet Gothic starter set whilst on holiday. Sitting in a camper van constructing starships meant that when I got a chance to play I discovered that some of the ships I had made were not very good.

So here I am, 8 years later and just getting back into BFG. I've played a lot of GW games over the years including Warhammer Fantasy (Vampires, Dwarfs, Empire, Skaven), Warhammer 40,000 (Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Orks, Daemonhunters, Daemons, Chaos Space Marines), Lord of the Rings, Necromunda and Mordheim. Sadly university put a stop to most of these games. However i'm now trying to find time for BFG, and hope to construct an Imperial Fleet.
